What you get #
ZeroHost CMS is a website builder made by SAGOZEN, the company behind LargePrint Puzzle Studio. Its author theme is a warm, literary bio and portfolio design with sample content you replace with your own.
- A home page that puts your pen name and headline first, with your email and contact details.
- On a paid plan, your own page text and pictures: add each book with its cover and the link to its KDP or Etsy page.
- Search tags, structured data, a sitemap and an llms.txt file that the theme generates for you.
Three steps #
- Pick the author theme in the ZeroHost CMS gallery and publish it. The site goes live on a zhst.app address.
- Set your pen name, headline and contact details.
- To list your books and use your own domain, move the site to a paid plan and edit the pages.
What does it cost? #
ZeroHost CMS sets its own prices, so check them on its site before you sign up. At the time of writing:
- Free, $0. Up to 10 sites with 1,000 views a month each, on a zhst.app address. No card and no custom domain. The free copy is read-only: you change the site title, headline and contact details.
- Pro, $29 a month. One dedicated site with your own domain, five extra zhst.app sites, and the full editor for pages and pictures. The first paid subscription starts with 3 months free, and a card is required.
Why authors use it #
- Search basics are built in, so each page has a title, description, canonical address and structured data.
- There are no plugins to install or update.
- Publishing is one click, and you can start free without a card.
Do I need a website to sell on KDP? #
No. KDP and Etsy give each book its own page and store. A website of your own helps readers and gift buyers find all your books in one place, under your pen name, and gives you an address to put on the back of a book or in a social profile.
Does it cost anything? #
You can start free. The Free plan publishes up to 10 sites on a zhst.app address with no card. The Pro plan costs $29 a month and adds your own domain and the full page editor, with the first 3 months free on your first paid subscription.
Can I use my own domain? #
Yes, on the Pro plan. The Free plan publishes on a zhst.app address. Pro includes one dedicated site with a custom domain, plus five more sites on zhst.app addresses.
Can I change the text and pictures? #
On the Free plan you change the site title, headline, email, phone and address. Editing the page text and pictures, such as adding your books and their covers, needs a paid plan with the full editor.
Does it connect to my LargePrint account? #
No. ZeroHost CMS is a separate product with its own account. LargePrint sends nothing to it, so you add the links to your books yourself after you publish.
Is ZeroHost CMS made by the same company? #
Yes. ZeroHost CMS and LargePrint Puzzle Studio are both SAGOZEN products. This page links to ZeroHost CMS because we run both, and nobody pays us for the link.
